Alyssa Lipuma joined the Newsela professional learning team in 2022. She is a former elementary teacher from Chicago, with experience teaching in the upper elementary grades.
Alyssa is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and has a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. As a Professional Learning Manager, Alyssa is responsible for designing and delivering training sessions that build user confidence in designing engaging, differentiated learning experiences for all students.
