"Ashlee Harmon is a former Newsela Fellow and 6th-grade ELA and social studies teacher at Avon Intermediate School West. She values teacher leadership and collaboration in her role as a social studies professional learning community leader, and she is completing her M.S.Ed. in Educational Leadership at Indiana University. She is also a proud leader of her Mindful Artists Club, a student extracurricular experience she founded to support social-emotional learning through the study of artistic neuroscience. When she's not teaching, Ashlee enjoys traveling, photography, and spending valuable time with her husband and cat."
