Jeff brings four decades of teaching experience to his current role at Rio School District in California, where he works as a teacher on special assignment in support of teachers and students throughout the district. He spent most of his career as a high school English teacher in the Midwest and became a fellow of the Mississippi Valley Writing Project in 1997. In 2008, he co-founded The Piasa Bluffs Writing Project with his friend and mentor Dr. Ralph Cordova.
