"Monika Moorman is a former Newsela Fellow and a fourth-grade teacher at a public school in South Florida. Originally from Poland, Monika has been an educator for nearly 20 years in grades ranging from first to adult education in both general and gifted settings. She is a proud NBCT in early and middle childhood literacy. She is a STEM and sustainability enthusiast, HP Teaching Fellow, and Solar System Ambassador.
