As a member of the marketing content team, Christy makes it her mission to help teachers and administrators discover all the features, knacks, and best practices for using Newsela and Formative for real student engagement. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction focusing on children’s literature. Before joining Newsela, Christy taught middle school ELA, social studies, math, and STEAM, and worked as a children’s and youth services librarian.
